I am so saddened to learn of Shirley’s passing. When I was a young lawyer starting out at what was then Dillon Hardamon and Cohen, Shirley, who was the receptionist extraordinaire, became my friend. She cared about me, my clients and my cases. She bailed my butt out many times, both personally and professionally and we remained friends since that first day in 1978. We stayed in touch over the years and we always took time to find out about each other’s families. She had the sweetest disposition and a laugh that made everyone’s day. The world is a little emptier today.
