Thelma Jean Hendrix, age 56, of Beech Grove, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2022. Thelma was born April 4, 1966 in Beech Grove, Indiana to the late Joann (Orebaugh) and Durben Oakes. She is also preceded in death by her sister, JoEllen Robertson. Thelma was a proud and loving grandmother, mother, and wife who most of all enjoyed being with her family. She was a good cook and liked to craft and garden. She enjoyed going to concerts, Jeeping, camping, and trips to the beach.
Thelma is survived by her husband, H. William "Bill" Hendrix II; children, Andrea Fisher (Corey) and Chris Hendrix (Samantha); grandchildren, Eli Hendrix, Grayson Fisher, Chloe Fisher, and Amelia Hendrix; siblings, Bobby Oakes, Sherryl McClain, Carol Oakes, and Shirley Oakes; and many extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be Monday, July 18, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Little & Sons Funeral Home, 1301 Main St, Beech Grove, Indiana 46107. Her Funeral Service will be Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Little & Sons Funeral Home with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood, Indiana.
