Thomas Paul Cotton, age 82, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2022. Thomas was born October 29, 1939 in Muncie, Indiana to the late Cora K. (Osborne) Konkle and Clarence P. Cotton. He is also preceded in death by his brother, John Konkle.
Thomas attended Beech Grove High School and remained active with the Alumni Association, serving as an officer, and with his friends who he still met regularly for lunch. He attended Southport Presbyterian Church and retired from Superior Credit Services, Inc after a career of 31 years in 2004. He enjoyed taking care of his yard and keeping up his garden that the neighbors acknowledged to be the best in the neighborhood. He also enjoyed playing online poker for fun and was a big fan of Donald Duck and the Colts. Thomas also kept up with his extended family and like to do genealogy. He was always a family man first and especially enjoyed his grand and great grandchildren. He and Ashton particularly enjoyed sitting on his deck, enjoying the sun and hummingbirds, but all will remember him as a bit of a jokester with the funny sayings they would share. Those who met him will remember him as sweet with a side of humor and how good he would make them feel.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Ramona Gay (Porter) Cotton; daughters, Tamara Joy Collins (Sean) and Kelli Lee Harris; sister, Janet Monroe; grandchildren, Morgan Lee Walker (Chad), Allison Marie McGlothlen, Michael Ryan Momberger (Hilary), Brooke Alyssa Callan (Cameron), and Ashton Marissa Harris; step grandchildren, Nathan Collins and Brenna Collins; and great grandchildren, Addison, Grayson, Hadley, and Beckett.
There will be no services in honoring of his wishes.
