It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas Edwin Leathers who passed away on September 8, 2026, at the age of 70 years old. He closed his eyes in death and opened his eyes in the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Born on October 12, 1955, in Harrodsburg, KY. Tom was the beloved son of Charles and Helen Leathers. Throughout his life, Tom was known for his faith, kindness, generosity, humor, dedication and he touched the lives of many through career, service, family involvement, volunteer work, hobbies, or passions.
Tom dedicated 30 years to Amtrak, as a carman. Beyond professional achievements, he found joy in being a member of the Eagles, being a Master Mason, watching IU Football, fishing, playing golf and treasured time spent with family and friends.
Tom is survived by his wife Bonnie of 29 years, children Tiffany (Rick), Brittney (Brandon), grandchildren (Hayleigh and Greysen), Charles (brother), Betty (sister) and many other loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by Charles and Helen (parents) and Norma and Nancy (sisters) who passed away previously.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, September 18, 2026 followed by a funeral service at 5:00 p.m., at Littles and Sons Funeral Home, 1301 Main Street, Beech Grove, IN 46107. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate Tom's life.
