Walter Dale Eickelberger Age 77, passed away peacefully at his home in Beech Grove on April 23, 2010. Dale was born to the late Knofel and Dora Mae Eickelberger in Paoli, IN. Dale served in the US Army during WWII. Dale married Janet Armstrong in 1955. She died on May 6, 2002. He worked as a supervisor in Plant 5 at Allison's Gas Turbine for 38 yrs. before retiring in 1989. He was an avid bowler, horseshoe pitcher, a member of the Beech Grove Boosters and served on the Beech Grove Little League Board for several years. Dale is survived by two sons; David(wife Laura) and Michael D. Eickelberger, three daughters; Donna M. Eickelberger, Cindy Cassida, and Beverly Eickelberger-Smith, nine grandchildren and one great grand child. He is also survived by two sisters; Betty Dillard and Bonnie McPike. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 26, 2010 from 4-8 pm at Little and Sons Funeral Home, Beech Grove Chapel. The funeral service will be at McAdams Funeral Home on Tuesday at 3 pm with a viewing from 11-3 in Paoli, IN. Burial at Concord Cemetery in Paoli. www.littleand sonsbeechgrove.com.
