William Sherman Collins

William Sherman Collins, age 80, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Sunday April 8, 2018. William was born May 1, 1937 in Beech Grove, Indiana to Frances Collins and Carl Collins.

William enlisted in the military and received the rank of Sargent and after his service to our country, he came back and worked at Eli Lily until his retirement. William was a member of the American Legion where he would spend time with friends playing cards.

William is survived by; son Scott R Collins; daughter Lisa (Kyle) Bohan; daughter Marsha Burkhardt; son Garrick (Tonya) Miller; and son Bart Miller; brother David Collins, brother Darrell Collins and sister Theresa Collins; grandson Kannon Bohan, granddaughter Mirrissa (Kyle) Pike, grandson Miles (Whitney) Miller and granddaughter Jessica Miller.

William was preceded in death by his wife Martha Collins; father Carl Collins and mother Frances Collins; brother George Collins.

A visitation will occur Saturday, April 14, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, 1301 Main Street, Beech Grove, IN. A funeral service will occur Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 1:00 PM, 1301 Main St, Beech Grove, IN. A burial will occur at Vallonia Cemetery, Vallonia, Indiana.
