Guadalupe C. Gutierrez, better known as “Lupe”, 72 years young, passed away on July 19, 2019 peacefully at home surrounded by her beloved family. She was born on June 29, 1948 in Ajo, Arizona to Ignacio and Gladys Sanriquez. Lupe has been a resident of Los Angeles County for over 30 years and a previous resident of Ajo, Arizona.
Lupe worked as a Special Ed Trainee for the Los Angeles School District for 30 years before her retirement in June 2009. Once she retired, she enjoyed her grandkids and family. She knew how to bring out the best of you and always filled the room with laughter. Her absence leave a great void, but her memory will forever be in our hearts.
Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband, Cristobal Gutierrez, loving children; David Sedig, Diomenes Gutierrez, Delfina Gutierrez and adoring 10 grandkids and 5 great grandkids. Lupe is also survived by her siblings; Josepha Brock, Tony Sanriquez and Daniel Sanriquez.
A viewing for Guadalupe will be held Friday, August 2, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 AM at Home, 321 E Colden Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90003. A funeral mass will occur Monday, August 5, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, 114 W 87th St, Los Angeles, California 90003, followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery, 4201 Whittier Blvd, Los Angeles, California 90023.
