I just heard the news today...I am left without words.  A great man with a heart of gold.  Until we meet again my dear friend.

I will miss you Ralph.  Rest in Peace and save me a place next to you at G-ds table.  It was my priviledge to be your friend and partner.

Ralph there are no words to express as to how much I will miss you. It was my honor to have been your life time friend partner and brother in blue . You are the true meaning of one of the BELL BOYS. Till we meet again SPUD.

Ah Ralphie, mi amigo, my friend,
What can I say, that hasn't already been said.
You were definately a straight shooter, within 5 minutes of knowing you, anybody could see that! What you would see, would be an honest, giving and caring man. One who was always willing to help anyone in need. Thank you for your services to our country as a Vietnam Veteran, and to the community as a police officer, and to HMGS-PSW board, our club. But most of all THANK YOU, GRACIAS for being a true friend. It was definately a pleasure and honor to have known you, and called you my friend for the last few years. we shared some laughs, some wargaming hobbies, some ideas,  some goals, and some memories. No matter what kind of day, it was, you always had me laughing after spending some time talking to you.
The good Lord must have needed you, for another mission, for him to have taken you away so soon, and suddenly.
I will miss you my friend!
May the Lord bless you & guide you in your new journey.

I am sorry I didn't get to know Ralph more than I did, but I am a richer man for having met him and having known him for the time I did. He was a true gentleman and win, lose or draw, he always had a smile.

Ralph brought light into the darkness and spent his life helping those who needed help. He made the world a better, happier place. I feel privileged to have known him and honored to have been his friend. Thank you, Ralph, and Rest In Peace - you earned it.

Ralphie!  I have only known Ralphie for 8 years, many of you have known him for much longer.  I did build a good bond with him over that time despite it being a relatively short amount of time.  I would like to thank him for

His service to this great nation by serving in Viet Nam.

His service to the community as serving as a policeman for his entire civilian career.


There was no BS in Ralphie.  I can say that he was a straight up, stand up, honest man who would do as he said and said what he did.  He had tremendous character.  Ralphie was a giver, always interested in, and taking the initiative, to step up and help people. Not for his own self interest, but because he was truly interested in doing well for others.  I personally can say that I haven't met too many men like him.  We was that: "A Mensch."

In terms of gaming, we all need to thank him for serving on the HMGS PSW Board over the last year.  Ralphie was a doer and a rock of stability.

He was a lot of fun to game with.  Him and I have played many of games together and has always been a positive, fun force at the table.  Never short on a one liner or bag, Ralphie can always get a smile out of you.

My son Yale and I will miss you Ralphie indeed.  Rest in Peace ol Buddy.  I'll have a Peroni and a cup of coffee for you.

I knew Ralph through the hobby we shared. He always made me laugh and always made me regret we did not have more time together. Thank you and God bless you Ralph Patino.

I was my good fortune to game with Ralph for over 15 years.  A true gentleman.  He will be missed.
