

“For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us form the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39
Willette Evelyn Rudd Jackson was born in Casper, Wyoming on June 3, 1921 to David Jordan Rudd Sr. and Mary Hess Rudd. Both parents preceded her in death. She had four siblings, David Rudd Jr., Maezell Williams, Juanita Rufus, and Susie Louise Lacey. All preceded her in death.
As a young child, Willette developed a strong faith in God. She was baptized in the Catholic religion in 1962. She received regular visits from her parish and had communion once a week. Although she was unable to physically attend church, she faithfully watched Mass and other religious programs on Sundays. She was also a Perpetual Member of “The Apostolate of St. Jude Thaddeus.”
Willette attended Elementary and High School in Natrona County School District #1 in Casper, Wyoming, She received her certificate to teach in in Elementary Schools on June 16, 1941 from Lane College in Jackson, Tennessee.
In 1948, she was employed as a Window clerk for the United States Postal Service. She demonstrated excellent interpersonal Skills and a positive helpful attitude.
She received numerous accommodations for her work ethics. She retired on December 2, 1968.
On October 6, 1962, Willette married Sterling Kermit Jackson. They were blessed with 51 years of wedded bliss. He preceded her in death on August 15, 2014.
Willette was a shining star in her community. She was the caregiver of all the children that resided in her neighborhood. She gave unconditional love to the Daleside residents. Her other great love were her dogs, (Ava, Lucy, Sandy Rusty and Peppermint Patty.) She took the time to cook and prepare their meals. They were her pride and joy. “They were her babies.”
On March 28, 2015, Willette left her earthly form and soared with the angels. She leaves to cherish her memory a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. She will truly be missed by everyone who was blessed to know her. Willette was truly loved.
