

Agnes Pultz Watson was born in Lexington, Virginia on August 6, 1915, and passed away peacefully at her home 22 days after celebrating her 100th birthday. She was the daughter of Lloyd Russel Pultz and Laura Shaner Ramsey. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Charles Milton Watson, her sister, Isabel Miller and husband Raymond, her brother Lloyd R. Pultz, Jr. and wife, Ella Mae, and nephew Bill Miller. She is survived by daughter, Diana Smith and son-in-law John D. Smith, Jr, son John Milton Watson and wife, Melinda, and grandson John Thomas Watson, nieces Marjorie Miller Wade and Jane Pultz Tonon, and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Agnes married Charles Watson in 1946 and they spent most of the first 30 years of their 58 year marriage in Denver, Colorado where they raised their family and she continued her career in the insurance business. She and Charlie retired to Mount Dora, Florida where they made many friends and traveled all over the United States and Canada. They were active members of the First United Methodist Church of Mount Dora after transferring their membership from Park Hill United Methodist Church in Denver. While they were in Mount Dora, Agnes was also active in the local Garden Club and DAR. After losing her vision to macular degeneration she moved to Houston, Texas to be near her daughter and son-in-law. She spent her last 9 years at Bayou Manor where she was known for her daily walks, her big smile, and sweet disposition. Agnes was an inspiration to all who knew her. She faced life with courage, faith and joy in spite of her loss of eyesight. Agnes and her family were grateful for her loving caregivers, Marie Holman and Geri Reittie and the entire staff at the Bayou Manor.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 5th at 10:00 a.m. at The Brazos Towers at Bayou Manor, 4141 South Braeswood Blvd., Houston, Tx., 77025.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Bayou Manor Resident Association for the Employee Appreciation Fund.
