Ann McMurrey

Ann (Nanny) Elaine McMurrey was born in Clarksville, Texas on September 4, 1922, and passed away February 6, 2014 in Houston, surrounded by her loving family. She loved family camping trips, and was a skilled seamstress. She will be most remembered for her wonderful home-cooked meals and homemade pies prepared for many friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Lee McMurrey, Sr. and son Robert Lee McMurrey, Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Suzy Steiger Byrd and husband Jeff, Linda Eubank and her husband Les, eight grandchildren and their families, eleven great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother will always be remembered for her loving, caring nature, friendliness, humor, and wonderful smile. We will miss her every day, but her example and the many things she taught each of us will live on forever.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 10, 2014, with a visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m., at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
