Anne Sarsonas Leydon, beloved wife of Joseph Patrick Leydon and mother of George Michael Leydon, passed away May 6 while surrounded by family members at Memorial Hermann Hospital Southwest in Houston. She was 77.
A New York native, Anne relocated with her parents to New Orleans while a youngster, and later moved with her husband to Houston 1982. She was a Social Security Administration claims representative for more than three decades, and received several commendations for her work. She was a lifelong Democrat, a hardcore Houston Astros fan, an unabashed cat lady, and a devout Catholic.
A visitation is set for Monday, May 18th from 5 to 7 PM with a 6PM rosary at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home, 4525 Bissonnet St, Bellaire, TX 77401. A funeral service will take place at 11AM on Tuesday, May 19th at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alley Cat Allies, Alleycat.org, or ASPCA, aspca.org.
