

Anne Fontana Neeley passed peacefully on May 16, 2026, at the age of 93. She was born on October 11, 1932 at St. Joseph Hospital in Houston, Texas. Anne graduated from St. Agnes Academy - Class of 1951, as one of the Fannin Street girls. Upon graduation, Anne went to work for her father, Charles A. Fontana, who owned C & A Tobacco Company, Inc. She worked at C & A from 1951-1984 and then became President of the company upon her father's retirement.
Anne married Walter Perry Neeley on July 4, 1955, and they were in separatable throughout their marriage. Anne and Walter loved spending time together in Galveston at their condo on Seawall Blvd., as she loved to collect seashells - another one of her many collections. Anne was a great lover of estate sales, flea markets, and antique stores. She was given the title, "Queen of Collectables," as it was her hobby, love, and past time. Anne's parents, Charles A. and Jennie Fontana, both passed in 1982, followed by her late husband, Walter in 2009, and only sister, Phyllis M. Osborn, in 2016. Anne was a devout Catholic. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and Opus Dei. Anne is survived by her niece, Andrea E. Osborn and great nephew and godson, Nathan S. Rinard.
Visitation will be held at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home, 4525 Bissonnet St, Bellaire, TX 77401, US, on June 2, 2026, from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm, with a Rosary there the same day at 6:30 pm.
A Funeral Mass will take place at Our Lady of Lourdes Chapel at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 6800 Buffalo Speedway, Houston, TX 77025, US, on June 3, 2026, at 10:00 am, followed by a Committal Service at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale St, Houston, TX 77023, US, on June 3, 2026, at 1:00 pm.
