Anthony was born to Marion Aquilina and Annie Laurie Pizzitola on April 26, 1926, in Houston, Texas. He graduated from St. Thomas High School in 1944. He married Sadie Jo Montalbano on February 23, 1949, and together they made their home in Houston, where they raised five children.
Anthony is survived by his five loving children: Marion (Mary) Aquilina, Ann (Frank) Rubino, Anthony Aquilina, Rosalie (Sammy) Samperi, and Renee (Doug) Hammond; eight grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
Anthony was the owner and operator of Aquilina Motor Company for more than 30 years. He cherished his annual duck hunts with his father, uncles, sons, and many close friends. Known for his quick wit, he loved sharing a good joke whenever he had the chance, and his unmistakable laugh could be heard from a mile away.
The family has requested a private service and burial. They would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the many individuals who cared so lovingly for Anthony, including Vantage Hospice, Alice and Gilbert Ontiveros, Marie Dor, Santos Cardenas, and Victoria Moses.
