Arthur R Roberts died peacefully on Sunday, April 27, attended by the compassionate staff of University Place, where he had resided for over 20 years. He was born in Springfield, MA, 8/19/1910, and attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. As a Captain in Military Intelligence in WWII, Arthur served in Panama, North Africa, and Italy. He was a former member of Houston Engineers Scientific Society, a 50yr member of United Association Local #68, and a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. He belonged to the K of C, council #3910, The Artisans of Canada, and a member of V.F.W. Post #5619. He was retired from the City of Houston Public Works Department. He had lived in Houston since 1944. Arthur was predeceased by his loving wife, Dorothy A. Roberts. Mass will be held on Thursday, May 2, at St. Francis de Sales Church. A special thanks goes to Arthur Lewis and Olive Tyler, who attended him in his last years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to University Place Endowment Fund.
