She was a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and family was always at the center of her world. Free-spirited, strong-willed, and passionate, she approached life on her own terms and accomplished nearly everything she set her mind to. She was instrumental in the performing arts, yet she always considered the way she raised her children and the family she built among her greatest accomplishments.
Her generosity was one of the qualities that defined her. She was always willing to open her home to someone in need and never hesitated to help with money, food, clothing, or simply a place to stay. Helping others came naturally to her, and she gave from her heart.
She leaves behind a loving family who will forever carry her memory, including her husband of 41 years, Louis E. Aiken, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, extended family, and countless others whose lives she touched. Though her absence leaves an immeasurable void, the love, strength, and values she gave us will continue to live through every generation of our family.
She loved deeply, lived boldly, and lived for her family. Her presence, generosity, and unmistakable spirit will be missed beyond words, but her legacy will remain with us always.
