

Born September 15, 1921, in Green, Kansas, Betty was the daughter of Milo and Ruth (Easterberg) Riek.
Spending her early years in Kansas, Betty moved to Bartlesville, Oklahoma where she raised her family and lived for 38 years. After the death of her husband in 1988, she moved to Houston, Texas to be near her children. Betty was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Houston and was a beautiful and loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. Betty will be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, William Marne Faulconer, Sr., her parents, Milo and Ruth Riek, her sister, Donna Jean Schurle and her brothers, William Henry Riek and Donald Riek.
Betty is survived by her son Bill Faulconer and his wife Judy, her daughter Marilyn Dishman and her husband Steve, two grandchildren, Lisa Arlene (Faulconer) Zeve and William Stuart Dishman, one great-grandson, William Rockwell (Rocky) Zeve, one step grandson, Louis Shaver and B. Tracy Scott, of the Woodlands, a long-time family friend and her special companion.
A gathering of family and friends will celebrate and honor her life on Saturday, March 3, 2012 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at Levy Funeral Directors, 4525 Bissonnet, Bellaire, TX.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Betty’s name be made to Holly Hall Retirement Community, 2000 Holly Hall St., Houston, Texas 77077054-4029. The family wishes to particularly thank the nursing staff of Holly Hall for the several years of loving care and attention given to Betty.
