Beverly Ruth Kaplan Speer

She was preceded in death by her parents, Libby and Jack Kaplan of Kaplan,La., brother Conrad Kaplan, and was a gift to her husband’s family, the Speers, in life as well as in their many losses.

She is survived be her beloved husband of 59 years, Marvin J. Speer, her children; Saranne Speer Selber, Stuart Speer and wife Lori, Mark and wife Janice as well as her grandchildren, Peter and Jennifer Selber, Zack and Matthew Speer and Jacob Speer.

She is also survived by her loyal friend Dorothy "LuLu" Eaton. She was blessed with many family members and friends that intimately experienced her strength and selfless life as a caregiver.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to her large and dedicated care team.

Funeral services will be held graveside at Beth Yeshurun Cemetery on Post Oak on Tuesday, July12 at 10 am.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Warm Ya Fund at the Lester and Sue Smith Breast Center at Baylor College of Medicine; One Baylor Plaza, Mail Stop 600,Houston.
