Bill hired me and I started my public servant career working with him on Monday September 17, 1990, in what was then known as the Civic Center department. What a career and personal journey working with the man who did not wear his heart on his sleeve. There are so many Bill Bill stories that would make you laugh and shake your head.  He was a kind hearted and caring person deep down. He was a good teacher and knew the system. In a political environment  politics was not his game.  His tree of good accounting employees fanned out to other opportunities to make their mark on an Evolving  department from CEFD to now HOUSTON FIRST.  Yes we had our brain wrestling contests, in the end the betterment of the accounting group and my Parking operation prevailed.

Everytime we spoke he would ask how is mom. Bill opened his home to his employees for celebratory events, he would show his appreciation by showing off his culinary skills by bringing breakfast and lunch to the office. In the 36 years that I knew Bill Bill, he evolved to a changed and more open man. A church goer he had become and what a difference. Just what life is suppose to. He and I both were Dallas Cowboy fans and he lit up when Reda and I brought him a shirt from Cowboy Stadium. The measure of a life is ones service and that was Bill Bill. It saddens me Bill Bill  has gone to watch the Cowboys  with the greats from afar. To his family you have my deepest condolences. He and His calls will be missed.
