Following his graduation from high school in Port Arthur, Mr. Kent attended Purdue University in Indiana receiving his BS degree in 1960. He served two years as an officer in the United States Marine Corps Air Wing in Japan and in May 1964 he received his MBA from University of Texas in Austin where he also met and married his wife Mary Lynn in that same month. During his career Charles worked as Cost Accountant, computer systems developer, Vice President, and business Owner including a local recreational Ski Area near Madison, Wisconsin. Charles and family moved to the Houston area in 1988.
Charles is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Lynn Kent, daughters Leanne Kent Lancaster (Steve), and Lori Kent Tucker (Damon); grandchildren Bret Allen, Bryce Lancaster, Tori Allen, Braden Lancaster, Brody Lancaster and Jake Tucker. He is also survived by his brother James J. Kent, Decatur, GA.
