He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Mary Frances; sons, Larry and Paul, in Tulsa; grandsons, Steven in Houston and Jeremy in the US Navy; brother-in-law John Freeze in Houston; sister-in-law Betty Freeze in Riverside, CA; nieces and nephews and many devoted friends.
Clarence served in action during World War II in the US Navy as a First Class Petty Officer. He then served in the Navy Reserves and was called into action for the Korean War.
Clarence began his career in the oil and gas business as a mail boy at age 18. He became an accountant and retired as a property tax representative.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 25, 2013, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m., at Westbury Baptist Church, 10425 Hillcroft St., Houston, TX 77096. Interment will follow at 1:15 p.m. at Houston National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Westbury Baptist Church or to the VFW.
