Dallas Nicole Cordero Strickler, aged 24, passed away peacefully Friday, August 11, 2023, with her family by her side in Houston, TX. She was born June 30, 1999, to Michael (Mike) and Kerri Cordero in El Paso, TX. Dallas was full of life with a great sense of humor and boy did she love her Mexican food. She graduated from Franklin High School in (2017) and played soccer her junior and senior year. Dallas went on to attend New Mexico State University where she graduated with an education degree in (2022). Dallas’s spunk on life took her and her fiancé, Mason to Houston, where she accepted a job at Spring Branch Independent School District teaching fourth grade.
As a wife, mom, sister, and friend, Dallas poured her heart and soul into her personal relationships. She dearly loved her husband, Mason, who will forever remember her as the light of his life, the woman who made him a better man. They had exciting adventures together as they built their lives and Dallas recording every memorial moment. As Mason would say, “are you recording this?” She treasured her time with the family as they played games together and shared funny stories about the silly things the Cordero family did. Dallas was a warm, carefree, loving soul to everyone she met. Her smile, laughter, humor, and carefree personality will truly be missed but will live on through her precious daughter, Athena Raye Strickler, born August 9, 2023.
Dallas is survived by her parents Mike and Kerri, her loving siblings Jordan and Reagan Cordero of El Paso, Texas; her husband Mason and beautiful daughter Athena Raye Strickler of Houston, Texas; Aunt Barbara, Uncle John, and cousins Bella and Alex Cordero to Gambrills, Maryland; Aunt Kasei, Uncle Drew and cousin Kelli (Mackie) of El Paso, Texas; Aunt Kelli, Uncle Mike, cousins Addison and Denver Salazar of Rolla, Missouri; Aunt Valerie and cousins Alexa and Joshua Perez of El Paso, Texas; Grandma Mary Byford of Rolla, Missouri; and Grandpa Harold Byford of Las Vegas, Nevada.
