Dear Poppop,
    I miss you terribly. Your smile never failed to brighten my day, and our memories we shared together continue to warm my heart everytime I think of you. Through it all, the love you gave to your family without a doubt reflects on the love we give to you. The tears, hugging, and time with family are all signs of the beautiful love we have for you. We're getting through this together. Grandma is doing well, and my mom, Margaret, and Andrew are all hanging in here. My brother is taking it well, and my Dad has shed many tears but continues to comfort us all. Joseph and Blake have been wonderful company, and so has Alice. As for me there are times I want to do nothing but cry my eyes out; however God gives me the power to push through and remember this time as the celebration of the wonderful life you lived. For I know that you are always with me, wherever I go. You may not be here physically, but you are here spiritually. Without a doubt, the hardest part was when I turned to say goodbye to you on Friday night before I left your house after supper, but I then realized that you weren't there. I walked into your room and in place of the hospital bed was the couch again. So i walked up to where you would have been laying, and I stood there imaginging your physical presence. God was carring me every step of the way, and I believe you were to. Although I couldn't see you, I felt you. so i blew you a kiss and I walked out; however, next time I think I will say "bye Poppop" when I leave your house because I know you are forever listening. Rest in Peace, I love you. And one last thing, here's a picture of us all at your funeral. Everyone looked sharp, and I know that's what you would have wanted. We did it for you. I love you.
