She was born on October 15, 1939, in Jamaica Queens, New York, to Walter Mackin and Elizabeth Cierpik.
Ellen is preceded in death by her parents, and beloved husband, Philip Hein.
Ellen is survived by her sons, Bill and Kevin (Peggy); granchildren, Christopher Eagan (Heather), William Travis, (Jennifer), Taylor Marie (Brent), and Dylan Thomas; great-grandchildren, Blakely, Justice, Jennings, Whitley and Daniel Thomas; sister, Kathie Gaudiosi.
Ellen will be honored with a Funeral Mass at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, 6800 Buffalo Speedway, Houston, TX 77025, US, on October 13, 2026, at 10:00 am.
A Rite of Committal will take place at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038, US, on October 13, 2026, at 1:45 pm.
