

Faustine was born in Burnside, Louisiana the baby of twelve children. Her sisters raised her, as her mother died when she was only 7 years old. She moved to Houston in her early twenties to worked at Foley's in downtown Houston. She met John Watz, the love of her life; they had a short courtship and enjoyed 60 years marriage.
Faustine and John had three children; Jane, John and Julie. She raised her family and lived her life with strong values of work, family and service. They had eleven grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Faustine was a woman of many colors. She loved her family, a good party and a cold beer. Faustine was a woman of faith with a deep devotion to the Blessed Mother and the Sacred Heart of Jesus. She was a woman of perserverance and strength. With the Blessed Mother and Jesus at her side she lived through her mother's death, depression, WWII , walking on the moon, and raising teenagers in the late sixties and early seventies. The morning of her passing she was blowing kisses and waving hello. She closed her eyes and she kissed the face of Jesus.
