It is very hard to write you but I want to let people know a bit of your life on this earth for 101 years. You were born in Placetas, las villas, Cuba and were the 4th child. You never wanted to get dirty and always wanted to look your best. You adored your mother and father and took care of the youngest daughter Isora.
Attended the University of Habana when your parents move there so all children could study. Finished a PhD in biological sciences. Afterwards taught at schools and universities and did research on cane sugar nematodes. This took you to Puerto Rico under Dr. Steiner for one year.
Came to the United States to be with your daughter and became a cytologist in Detroit. Reunited with your daughter in Houston and retired from St Luke Hospital and took care of your mother until her death. I was able to become a Doctor because of your sacrifice and hard work. As an only cild I had the best mother in the world.
We survived together you colon cancer, your aortic valve placement and I was hoping you will survive this latest illness. Me and the doctors were hopeful that you would pull through but it was not to be. My heart aches for you and has this big empty space that cannot be fill. The final mass was beautiful and the internment was painful. I know you are at peace in the company of your love ones. One day we will be together and rejoice with God. Until then all my thought are with you and so many things unsaid. I love you MOM!
