

Fern T. Goodstein was born to Leonard and Minnie Tanditash on May 31st, 1947 in Hartford, Connecticut where she grew up. She passed away unexpectedly on Sunday July 4th, 2021, at Clear Lake Hospital in Friendswood, Texas.
Fern married Edward Goodstein on September 1st, 1968; they were married for 52 years and have two daughters, Nina and Heather. She and Edward moved to Texas in June of 1990, where they have worked and lived since. She cherished her family and friends and held those relationships with the highest regards.
Fern is survived by her husband, Edward Goodstein, two daughters: Nina (Gary) Hudson of Montrose, CO and Heather (Dan) Southard of Colorado Springs, CO, her grandchildren: Samantha (Nick) Pasquariello of Montrose, CO, Geordon Hudson of Montrose, CO, and Dylan Southard of Colorado Springs and her great grandchildren Kileigh, Ivy and Zain. She is also survived by her sister: Nadine (Philip) Silver and their two sons, Eric Silver and David (Rachel) Silver, and her brother: Jeffrey (Marcia) Tanditash, and their son Leo Tanditash.
Fern is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Minnie Tanditash.
Fern loved to travel with her loving husband. They have traveled vastly across the world to include places such as Africa, Alaska, The Mediterranean, the Panama Canal, Scotland, and all around the US, Mexico and Canada.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family would be pleased with donations made to The American Kidney Fund.
The family will be sitting Shiva and greeting guests on Wednesday after the service until 5pm, Thursday and Friday from 11am-2pm. Please contact the funeral home for further details.
A second memorial service will be held for family and friends on Sunday, July 11th, 2021 at 11 am at The Masonic Temple, 9 Country Club Road, Cheshire, CT.
