George was born February 18, 1923 to Knut Jacobson and Gertrude Dahl in Palm Beach, Florida.
After graduating High School in Missoula, Montana, at the age of 18, in 1941, George proudly enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps.
In 1946 he made the move to Houston, opening his import/export business. Then converted his warehouse into his famous restaurant known as Quasimodo’s. George was a man with many titles, Inventor, Entrepreneur and wanted to be known as an accomplished businessman, which he was to the end, he never retired, he wasn't ready.
If you really knew George, you knew he had to have the last say. Even this funeral, he planned it, he chose the pics, the music. This is the story he wanted to share. He did it his way…
George is preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters and 2 sons.
He is survived by 1 son, 3 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and many friends.
A visitation for George will be held Monday, February 21, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home, 4525 Bissonnet Street, Bellaire, Texas, followed by a funeral service at 7:00 PM.
