Gerry Trepagnier died July 31, 2014 of complications from Alzheimer's disease. She was born in Texas City, Texas October 30, 1935. After high school she attended schools at the University of Texas Medical School in Galveston and Charity Hospital in New Orleans to earn her certificate as a Radiology Technician. She worked at M. D. Anderson Hospital, the University of Texas Health Center, and Earl K. Long Hospital in Baton Rouge where she became the department head. After her retirement she moved to Houston, Texas.
People who knew her remember her ready smile and infectious laughter. Even in the worst of her disease she never lost the ability to laugh and to greet everyone with her smile. She loved to travel with friends and family, and visited many parts of Europe, Canada, Mexico, and North America.
Eight years ago her life changed with the onset of Alzheimer's. We celebrate the release of her spirit from that disease, remembering the wonderful person who traveled through our lives.
