Glenn Allan Porter III, beloved father, son, and brother, passed away on October 14, 2024, in Sugar Land, Texas, at the age of 33. Born on December 7, 1990, in Houston, Texas, Glenn was known for his quick wit, sarcasm, and a sense of humor that could light up any room.
Glenn cherished spending time with his children, Ella and Wren Porter, who brought immense joy to his life. Together with their mother, Taylor Porter, they shared many happy wonderful memories with their family, from catching lizards outside and playing at the park to swimming in the pool and taking trips to the pet store. Glenn loved his children deeply, his best moments were the ones they all spent together at home being a family.
He enjoyed playing video games, watching TV shows, movies, and going to car shows. He always found ways to bring laughter to those around him.
Glenn is survived by his daughters, Ella and Wren Porter, their mother Taylor Porter, his mother Tracey Hawkins, stepfather Doug Hawkins father Glenn Porter Jr., stepmother Gaby Porter, and siblings Stephanie, Brandon, and Brooke.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at 3 p.m. at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home, 4525 Bissonnet St., Bellaire, Texas 77401. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Glenn’s name, a place that held special significance for him.
