

Harriet Dorothy Howard passed away on April 16, 2020 in Sugar Land, Texas. Born on August 22, 1933 in Brooklyn, New York to Ada and Irving Kaplan. She grew up there until 1948 when her family moved to Los Angeles, California where she graduated from Fairfax High School before attending and graduating Los Angeles City College in 1954 with a business degree.
She was married for 26 years and raised her children Craig and Irwin while running travel companies and restaurants. When she wasn’t running those businesses, she would travel on one of her many cruises around the world, play mah jong, and serve on boards of many organizations. One of which she was proud of was being the first President of Mary Lesinger ORT. She also loved attending services at Congregation Beth Yeshurun.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Ada and Irving and Sisters Charlotte Mann and Arlene Burke. She is survived by her son, Craig Howard and his wife Stephanie, and her son, Irwin Howard. She is also lovingly remembered by her grandchild AR Howard and numerous nieces and nephews.
