

Born in Jericho, New York, Harvey lived a vibrant and full life that took him from the Northeast to Ft. Lauderdale, New Orleans, and eventually Katy, Texas. He built a successful career as an engineer, working with several major oil companies, including Odeco, Oceaneering, and Atwood Oceanics. His work was marked by dedication, intelligence, and a passion for problem-solving.
Harvey was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Joan. He is survived by his daughter, Melissa Meitzen, and her husband Victor, who will always carry his memory in their hearts.
Beyond his professional life, Harvey was a deeply engaged member of Temple Sinai, where he found friendship and purpose through the Brotherhood and the Building Committee. He also enjoyed traveling in Europe, finding joy in history, culture, and new experiences.
Harvey will be remembered for his kindness, wit, and quiet strength. He touched the lives of many and leaves behind a legacy of integrity, generosity, and love.
