Helen Morris

HELEN KINZER MORRIS, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 23, 2015. Helen was born Feburary 1, 1927 in Houston, Texas to Roscoe and Anna Kinzer, but spent most of her childhood in Montreal, Canada.

Helen was active for many years in the First Baptist Church of Bellaire. Her primary focus was always her God and her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great- great grandmother. She was a second Mom to many of her sons and grandchildren’s friends. Her home was always open and all were made to feel welcome. Everyone who ever came in contact with her saw her genuine caring and compassion for others and her sweet spirit. She was proud of having been a professional model in her late teens. From her years in Canada, she loved ice skating and snow skiing.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Richard Stanley Morris, Sr., son Richard Stanley Morris, Jr. and granddaughter Michelle, as well as her parents, 3 sisters and a brother. She is survived by four sons, Michael Morris, Bob Morris and wife Donna, Dave Morris and wife Dawn, Stephen Morris and wife Judy, and Becky and James Keen. Grandchildren Rick Morris and wife Diana, Paul Morris, Lorrie Brooke and husband Erik, Shari Fortune and husband Andrew, Ami Korczak, Sean Morris and wife Karen, Kelly Bucheru and husband Bogdan, Stephen, Noah and Katy Morris, Christopher, Daniel and Benjamin Morris. Great Grandchildren Ellen, Isabelle, Erin, Kysle, Trexler, Lysa, Leora, Jakob, Mavey, Eliana, Adriana, Phoenix and Ryder. Great Great granddaughter Kaitlin, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and their families.

The family will host a visitation Friday, March 27, 2015 from 6 to 8 pm at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home, 6700 Ferris, Bellaire, TX 77401. The funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 28, 2015 in the chapel of the funeral home. The interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
