Hughie Cal Simpson passed away October 29, 2013. Born April 11, 1924 in San Angelo, Texas to the late Hortie and Hugh Simpson. He moved to Houston in 1936 with his family. Graduated from Reagan High School in 1940 and attended Baylor and Feather Art School. Served in the U.S. Navy from 1942 to 1946 aboard the U.S.S. Fullam. Cal was employed for 31 years with Prudential Insurance Co. as the Art Director in Public Relations and Advertising. He is survived by his son, Greg, and sister Cornelia Adams. A private service was held.
