

James Shull Hall, 78, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2017. Jim was born to Carolyn Eugenia Shull and James Howard Hall on December 22, 1938 in Knoxville, TN. Jim graduated from Lamar High School in 1957. He attended Hardin-Simmons University and the University of Texas where he was a member of Phi Sigma Kappa. In 1964, he went to work for Storage Warehouse Services retiring in 1999. Jim pursued many interests. He enjoyed Boy Scouts and as an adult was actively involved in various capacities at the district and unit levels in the Sam Houston Area Council. Jim joined the Rotary Club of Houston in 1971. More recently, he was a member of the West University Place Rotary Club. He and Nancy enjoyed traveling with Rotary RV Fellowship in the US and Canada for over 30 years. He was a long time member St. Luke’s United Methodist Church and was a member of the Goodwill Sunday school class. After retiring he enjoyed working at the St. Luke’s woodshop. He is survived by Nancy, his wife of 51 years; son Mark and wife Melinda Hall; granddaughters Margaret and Madeline Hall; brothers J. Richard and Fred Hall; sisters Gina Saour (Saib) and Rebecca Hall; numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home, 4525 Bissonnet St. followed by a reception.
The committal service will be held at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Mountain City, TN with James M. Shull, Jr. officiating.
