Janet Gentry

Janet Broussard Gentry died peacefully after a full beautiful life on August 26, 2012, at the age of 100. She was born in Louisiana then lived her adult life in Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years Bill Gentry, her father Abraham Broussard, mother Amanda Chaison, sister Bertha Benoit, brother Jack Broussard, and sister Delcie Maylon.

She is survived by her son Eddie and wife Bobbie; granddaughter Cathlene and boyfriend Jimmie; grandson Cary and wife Kim; great-granddaughters Emily and Lauren; numerous nieces and nephews, best friend Isabel Craig and honorary pallbearer Morris Shanks.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., at the Warren Chapel at St. Dominic’s Village, 2401 Holcombe Blvd. on Tuesday August 28, 2012. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., at the Warren Chapel on Wednesday August 29, 2012. Rite of Committal will follow at San Jacinto Cemetery.
