Jerri Arney-Loomis

Jerri Arney- Loomis, age 64, passed away on March 29, 2017 in Houston, Texas. Jerri was born in Gladewater, Texas to Charles Arney and Peggy Colvin. Upon completing nursing school in Kilgore, TX, Jerri moved to Houston in the late 1970’s. She began her nursing career in the Newborn Nursery at Women’s Hospital of Texas. Later, Jerri became a nurse in the home health field, providing care to many infirm patients. Retired for the past several years, Jerri enjoyed time with family and church related activities. She was an active member of the Westbury Church of Christ spiritual family. Jerri was baptized during her teen years and was a sincere and consistent believer in salvation through Jesus Christ.

Jerri is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband John Loomis, son Dr. John Charles Loomis, his wife Olivia, daughter Jillian Taylor, and her husband Matt. Jerri loved her two grandchildren Zachary and Clyde Taylor, and was eagerly looking forward to her granddaughter, Corinne, from Olivia and John Charles. Jerri is also survived by her sister Mary McDowell of Gladewater, TX and brother Cole Hall.

Funeral services will be at Westbury Church of Christ on Monday, April 3, 2017. Visitation is scheduled for 10 am. Service will commence at 11 am. Friends and family are invited to stay for lunch thereafter.

Jerri will be buried at Woodlawn Cemetery. No graveside service is planned.
