Her soul left peacefully to join the Holy Spirit and Loved Ones who had gone before after being unable to fully recover from vascular surgery on her legs several months ago.

After raising 3 children as a widowed working mom, with a long career as a Data Entry Supervisor, Jimmie Lee retired to focus on her family and care for her aging mother. Family was always at the center of who she was and her greatest joy always seemed to be having her children and grandchildren around.

She was preceded in death by: Her husband, John W. “JW” Kinney; 2 brothers, Charles “Buddy” Wright and Harvey Wright; 3 sisters, Mildred Moore, Margarite Spiers, and Lucille Dunn; their Mother, Effie B. (Baker) Wright – “Granny”; their Father, Edgar H. Wright; as well as a number of nephews, in-laws and many friends. She is survived by: 2 sons, John (wife Linda) Kinney, and Ronald (wife Susan) Kinney; 1 daughter, Cynthia (husband David) Chapman; 8 Grandchildren, John “Brandon” Kinney, Natalie (husband Lenny) Delligatti, Melissa (husband Gary) Snowden, Ashley Johnston, Jason (wife Melissa) Kinney, Adam Stancil, Chris (wife Rose) Craig, and Toni (husband Iain) Murray; as well as 17 Great-Grandchildren – Aidan, Noelle, Caitlain, Brielle, Hallie, Carly, Landon, Savannah, Joy, Hannah, Sarah, Daniel, Mary, Ben, Henry, Ryann, and Georgia.

A visitation will be held from 11:00 to 1:00 PM, Saturday, April 21st at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home, 4525 Bissonnet St. The funeral service will follow beginning at 1:00 PM. The interment will be held at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery after the funeral service.
