Joseph A. Neveu, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2018. Born on September 28, 1929, Joseph lived a life that was happily filled with family, friends and his Faith. He was a long-time employee of the United States Postal Service where he served as Union President of the Local Chapter of Maintenance Craft for more than 15 years.
Joseph and his wife Mary, loved to travel. The favorite and most special were their trips to Greece, Rome, Alaska and Paris. This August they would have celebrated their 68th Wedding Anniversary.
He is survived by his wife Mary, sons Mathew and wife Renee, John and wife Terry, daughter Annette Nelson and husband Dean and daughters-in-law Josephine, wife of Michael and Judy, wife of Mark. Also, his sister Earline and his cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren. Joseph was predeceased by his parents, brothers, sisters and his sons Michael and Mark.
He proudly served our country as a member of the United States Army during the Korean War. We will always be grateful and proud for his willingness to protect us all.
Joseph’s son, Michael, would always say “The Lord has a plan, I may not understand it but I trust Him, therefore I accept it. I am at peace.” So, we all take comfort knowing Joseph has gone home to live with the Lord, Jesus Christ for all Eternity. Until we meet again in Heaven!
