I have just learned of Jude's passing after trying to contact him by phone with no response. My heart broke when I read he had passed. He and his entire family took me in and made me feel like one of the family when I moved to Houston when I was 10. Jude always made me feel special and I'm glad I got to see him when I visited last. Love you Jude! Thoughts and prayers to the family.

In the late 1970s, I worked as a title attorney with Jude at Dallas Title (later US Life).  It was my first experience with title work and Jude, who was the plant manager, made it much easier and so much fun!  After I left, he kept me posted for ten years to let me know that none of my opinions had been overturn.  During the time I worked with him, he was my faithful lunch companion and charming friend.  I've never forgotten him and am just glad to know that he became so successful in the field that he loved so much.  Good for you, Jude!

I was sad to hear of the passing of Jude.  I not only enjoyed his writings each week, but if you sent him something of interest, your information would usually appear.  RIP

Jude was a great friend in junior & senior high school. He had a wonderful sense of humor then, and obviously from other comments, that continued throughout his adult life. I only wish we had more time to visit in recent years. Jude, you will be missed.

I was so sorry to hear of his passing.  We worked together for a number of years at USLIFE Title.  He was so fun and always had a great story to tell. A dear high school friend....Jude never changed....he was so caring, friendly, and witty in his teens and remained that way gathering so many friends on his journey.  What a shock to the real estate community to lose one of our shining stars.  God has taken one of his angels home.

Jude was so much tun to talk to-he was more than real estate- he loved dogs and gardening and stories of all kinds. I had no idea why he was not returning my emails....I'm so sad he is gone but know he will be writing from heaven! Sharon Brier

10 years ago I went on vacation and when I returned a co-worker at Keller Williams asked how my trip was.  I had not told her I was traveling and wondered how she knew.  Her response "Well I read about it in Jude's column."  You knew you arrived when you made Jude's column. He will be missed so much.

Jude was an amazing person with a personality the size of Texas. I was shocked to hear about his passing and will miss him and his wild sense of humor dearly. Give my best to God, Jude. Rest in peace. The cuisine and humor in heaven just went up a notch, or two.

I cannot tell you all how sorry I am to hear of Jude's passing.  It saddens my heart because he was such a dear person and touched the lives of so many including myself.
