Kathryn Tucker Marmion

Kathryn Tucker Marmion, age 99, of Houston, TX, peacefully passed away at University Place Nursing Center, Houston TX, on Sunday, October 8, 2023. Born in Nashville , Tennessee on February 23,1924 to John Tucker and Ethel Dewitt Tucker she was raised on White's Creek Farm, Tennessee. She was preceded by her Husband of 41 years, Harry Owens Marmion in 1991. Survived by two children, Mark Owens Marmion, of Houston, TX and Jason Tucker Marmion of Loveland, CO., several grandchildren, great grandchildren and several nieces.

She was a graduate of Hume-Fogg Technical and Vocational High School, Class of 1943. She worked in Accounting and Auditing for several firms throughout her career.

Married in Birmingham, Alabama August 3, 1950 to Harry Owens Marmion. She enjoyed traveling with friends and family, especially her trips to Hawaii with Harry. Sewing and reading were among her favorite hobbies. She enjoyed many hands of bridge through the years and was a member of several bridges clubs.

A longtime member of the Westbury United Methodist Church where she enjoyed Sunday school and various activities. She enjoyed spending time in Navasota with Harry and also their time in Galveston. She will be thought of fondly and missed dearly by her family and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

A Celebration of Life for Kathryn will be held Thursday, November 9, 2023 at 6:00 PM at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home, 4525 Bissonnet Street, Houston, TX 77401, Diane Landon, celebrant. Kathryn's remains will be placed with her late husband, Harry at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038, Friday, November 10, 2023 at 12:30 PM.
