Kenny was a friend that we went scuba diving with. He was a cutie, always wear all black! He will be missed for so many friends.

Condolences to all his family and friends!

Kenny brought this Orchid back for his mom over 40 year ago and has continued to care for it after her passing. He would always bring me blooms from it when he came to visit. This photograph was taken one year on Mothers day. He made us pork chops, potato salad, and beans. He used to refer to himself as a "culinary wasteland" and my mother would agree. He set up a shooting range in the back yard and my kids got to learn about guns that day. Good stuff COS!

Kenny was married to my mom growing up, and while they have been divorced for years, I reconnected with him and he welcomed me back into his life with open arms. I loved how authentic he was, from teaching me how to recycle bullets and shooting guns, to his silly nicknames or his "Cruse-ism's". He was such a humble and modest man, comparing himself I'm sure to the hero's he read about in his books. But to me, he was my hero and a father figure when I needed him the most. I reconnected with him after falling in love with the music of Bob Dylan. I remember as a child he loved Bob Dylan, and I figured he had to be alright! I showed up at his place one day, he was working in the yard. I stepped out of the car and he knew immediately who I was, "Babbling Brooke" to him forever. He was as delighted to sit and catch up as I was, over Dr. Pepper of course. And for the next 7 years we were close. We saw Bob Dylan twice together. And poetically, the last time I saw Kenny was at the Bob Dylan show in October. As many questions and emotions I have around our loss, I feel like that last night together was just perfect. I will continue to love you always and forever, and am so grateful for our time spent together.
