Lawrence (Larry) Hill Martin, 72, died May 9, 2012 at his home in Austin, TX. He was born in Harlingen, TX and raised in Greenwood, MS and spent most of his adult life in Houston and Austin, Texas. His career in the securities industry included stops in both Houston and Austin. He lived several years in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, loved to travel and was an avid golfer. He was an honors graduate of Lambuth College in Jackson, TN and a veteran of the US Army.
Larry leaves his wife Phyllis Martin of Houston, three stepsons, Paul A. Gray of Houston, Peter J. Gray of Houston, and Ashton M. Gray of New York City; a sister Betty Lee Martin Quinn of Jackson, TN; a niece Nina Quinn Grice of Germantown, TN; and a nephew William M. Quinn of Holly Springs, MS.
A memorial service will be held for Lawrence at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home, 6700 Ferris, Bellaire, TX 77401 on Mon. May 21, 2012 at 11:00 am.
