The world lost a beloved daughter, wife, mother, mother in love, and grandmother, Lisa Katherine Osborn, on April 17, 2021. Lisa battled metastatic breast cancer, but it never stopped her from being resilient. Lisa was born in Houston, TX on November 24, 1961. Preceded in death by her mother, Shirlee Wedin, she is survived by her father Alan Wedin, James, her loving husband of forty years, her sons, Kevin and his wife Ruth, Justin and his wife Diana, as well as her grandchildren, Cade and Chloe Osborn.

Lisa devoted her life to early childhood development. She was loved dearly by her students. Her love for her family was immeasurable. She knew no foe and touched so many lives. An incredible decorator, gardener, and cook; she provided the most amazing home and upbringing to her family. Those who knew her best admired her selflessness, generosity, and grace. My deepest sympathy to Lisa’s family and all those who loved her. She was a joy to love. I went to Holy Ghost with her and then she and James bought the home across the street from my parents. We played together and our children played together. Lisa was so sweet to my parents as they grew old. I am grateful to have her a part of my life. Peace my friend! Love and light!

Lisa and I taught Pre-K 4 together at St. Theresa’s. Lisa was amazing at her job! She was so warm, kind, nurturing, loving, crafty, and creative. She was an amazing decorator and party planner. She took pride in her job and always went above and beyond to create special memories for our students. She was always laughing and smiling and we had so much fun together that year. I miss all the talks we had together while the kids were playing at recess or napping. We had so many funny stories to tell of all the goofy things that our students said and did. Heaven just gained the most beautiful soul. She truly made a mark on my life and will forever have a special place in my heart.

Dear family and friends of Lisa,
Lisa was an amazing and awesome person. Her beautiful smile said it all. I was so privileged to work with her at St. Michael Catholic School. Lisa was always so joyful. Joy is the infallible sign of the presence of God and Lisa was a true witness of God's love. I once told her I was going to have wear sunglasses the next time I saw her because God's light shone brightly through her.
Lisa was so patient and loving with the children in the classroom. She was very nurturing. If you knew Lisa you knew her family because she was so proud of her family and her love for them was very evident. You also knew her family loved her deeply.
Lisa was made for heaven and we know we will see her again.
My prayers continue for husband, James, her sons, their wives, grandchildren, her dad and many friends and family.
God's blessings, Carole Polzer

Lisa was one of us. Holy Ghost 8th grade class of 1975. We met in first grade and I was instantly drawn to her. She was thoughtful and fun plus she laughed at my jokes. She was literally the best. We lost touch for awhile after I moved to Boston and I was so happy we reconnected along with our class 10 years ago. Ours was a family affair. Our class was very fortunate to have the loving Mrs. Wedin teach us 8th grade, and my husband and I were thrilled to have the talented Mr. Wedin sing at our wedding, also at Holy Ghost. Such a sweet family. Lisa was a beautiful friend, inside and out and I know that the class of 1975 will miss her dearly. RIP Lisa, until we meet again.

My favorite memory is getting together with all the cousins whether it’s a wedding, funeral or coming to Rockport. Lisa never missed those occasions. She loved all of her relatives. She was always smiling, giggling, and would always light up a room. She was a fun cousin and I am going to miss her very much. I cherish our fun times and childhood memories visiting our grandmother, Fannie Belle. Lisa will be missed by all of us. Love, prayers and condolences to the Osborn Family. I love you, Lisa, our Angel.

My sincerest condolences to Lisa's family. Lisa shined in all that she did. Her instant wit made me laugh throughout our time we shared at Holy Ghost and my years at Strake Jesuit. To this day I smile when I think of her. We had some darn good times - Astroworld and Galveston come to mind, as we single handedly wore out the Texas Cyclone! I tried so hard to teach her how to surf, but she never quite got that down, but she had all kinds of fun trying! She touched me in such a positive way, like she did all who knew her. I'm so grateful for the time we spent together.

We share in your grief and sorrow and offer you our most sincere condolences as you mourn the loss of Lisa. We will miss her presence, her smiling face, her great laugh, her warm hugs, her “I am thinking of you” messages and so much more ... but we will carry her in our hearts forever. She was a gem and loved you dearly. God bless.

The smile, the laugh, the love, the stories, the heart I could go on and on. I met Lisa when she was in a freshman in high school and I was teaching with Shirlee at Holy Ghost Fast forward a decade our little guys are best friends in kinder and Lisa and I are working together at STM. Friendships that lasted over 12 years and longer even though we didn't see each other very often. Lisa not only lit up a room. She brought sunshine everywhere she went. I love you sweet Lisa. The way you loved your family your friends your students and everyone you met. Rest in peace lovely lady until we meet again in heaven The Warners

Lisa was all of the wonderful things mentioned here by others and she was also a very charitable and helpful person and would help any one in need. Always kind and hospitable she is a great person who by her example really showed others how to be gracious. And so well loved...
