Lucille Barbara Franklin Katz, 84, of Houston and formerly of Boston on April , 2010 at the Jewish Medallion Assisted Living Facility. Beloved wife of the late Tom I. Katz of Houston, Texas. Devoted daughter of the late Rose Irene Selansky Franklin and Warren Everett Franklin and sister of Lester W. Franklin, Sr. and sister-in-law of the late Eileen F Franklin of South Weymouth, MA. Beloved aunt to Lester W. Franklin, Jr. of Raleigh, NC; James F. Franklin of Storrs, CT; Eileen F. Franklin of Milton, MA; Kathleen F. Curley and Mary E. Eastman of West Hartford, CT; Dr. John E. Franklin of Charleston, SC and the late William P. Franklin of Cambridge, MA. Beloved cousin of Natalie Rothstein of Brookline, MA. Ms. Katz had a long and successful career both in Boston and in Houston in fashion, marketing and interior decorating and design. Her very creative advertising art was seen almost daily in the Houston Cronical and the Houston Post and many of the most gracious homes in the Houston area were beautified by her interior decorating skills. Memoral services at Levy (Dignity) Funeral Home. Internment at Beth Yeshurun Cemetery. There will be a memorial gathering in her memory at: The Medallion Assisted Living Facility (the Oolam Room) at 6262 North Braesewood Blvd in Houston at 2:00 pm on April , 2010.
