Lucinda “Lucy” Seckel passed away May 12, 2018 in Houston, TX. She was born to Cayetano and Santos (Aleman) Trevino. Growing up in Mathis, TX, Lucy was a graduate of Mathis High School before moving to the Houston area, later working at City of Bellaire.

A loving wife and mother, Lucy was also a woman of faith and service, volunteering her time as a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Her devotion to family and friends was only matched by her love for baseball. She could often be seen cheering on her children and volunteering at Bellaire and Westbury Little Leagues or rooting on the Astros since the days in the dome.

Mrs. Seckel was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Lupe; and three brothers, Joe, David, and Manuel. She is survived by her loving husband, Douglas; six children, Daniel (Maria), Gabriel (Charlotte), Ofilia (Roy), Israiel, Sara, and Samuel; brother, Raymond; and three grandchildren, Faith, Alex, and Adrienne.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary beginning at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, May 17 at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 18 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 10330 Hillcroft St., Houston, TX 77096.
