

Lynn Ann Englisbee Johnston, entered into eternal life on Sunday, November 11th, 2012, in Houston, after a long and courageous battle with Lupus and Parkinson’s. A resident of Houston for the past 46 years, she is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 53 years, Joseph Frederick Johnston, and their three daughters, and their spouses. Catherine Ann Johnston Rokovich (Roy) of Weslaco, Texas, Margaret Lynn Johnston Hotchkiss (Jody), of Waterford, Michigan, and Suzanne Inez Johnston Heiser (Mike) of Houston, and six loving grandchildren. Jay and Matthew Rokovich, Derek and Brian Hotchkiss, and Emily and Julia Heiser. Lynn was born in New Orleans on June 20th, 1938. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy Julia Heiderich Englisbee and William Connell Englisbee, also of New Orleans, and one brother Richard Connell Englisbee. Also survived by two sisters and spouses, Dorothy Eleanor Englisbee Mitchell (Joel) of Rye-Brook, New York, Barbara Janis Englisbee Swoop (Timony) of Houston., and three sisters-in-law and spouses, Angelina Silva Englisbee of El Paso, Barbara Jean Johnston Martin (Bob) of Mandeville, Louisiana and Julia Ann Johnston Cambre (Jay) of Metairie, Louisiana. She is also survived by her wonderful caregiver and special friend Amber Middleton to whom her family remains grateful. Lynn was a graduate of Ursuline Academy, and attended St. Mary’s Dominican College, both in New Orleans. Lynn enjoyed volunteering and working many years for Houston Independent School District and The Lupus Foundation. Lynn loved her Catholic faith, and had a strong devotion to the Blessed Mother, and the Rosary. She and her husband Fred were active in their parishes for many years. Lynn served in many ways including Catechist, Eucharistic Minister, and weekly adoration.
Friends are invited to visitation with the family from 5-7 pm, with a Rosary beginning at 6 pm, on Sunday, November 18th, at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, November 19th, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 9900 Stella Link Road, Houston, Texas, with celebrant Father Dana Pelotte. Reception will follow at Prefontaine Hall.
