Marion Jackson “Jack” Wilson was born on October 18, 1935 in his family home in Wolf Lake, IL and left for his heavenly home on May 24, 2025. He graduated from High School in Mize, Mississippi in 1952 and was given a free business college education that provided 42 solid years of employment at Texaco, Inc.
Jack married Carolyn Bailey in December 1954 and they were married for 63 short years. They had three children: David Lamar, Sharon Catherine, and Angela Kaa. Jack and Carolyn were always involved in their church, wherever it was, with Jack often serving on the church board in some manner. He led many building projects throughout the years, and his contribution and dedication to Kingdom Work was always at the forefront of his life.
When grandchildren began entering the picture, Jack gladly became “Pappy Jack” not only to his grandkids, but to anyone who knew him. He loved spending time and playing with his grands, and they loved their Pappy.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Frances Wilson, his brothers Lindy and Dale, his first wife Carolyn and his second wife Jean, son David, and grandson Paden. Jack is survived by his daughters Sharon (Dave) Messersmith of Houston, Texas, and Angela (Donn) Headley of Strasburg, Colorado, 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
The family is working to establish a fund to upgrade or purchase a new generator for The Gardens of Bellaire, the assisted living facility where Jack resided. However, the fund is not yet in place. In lieu of flowers, contributions to this fund would be greatly appreciated. We will post a link on social media once the account is established. Thank you so much.
