Born on December 17, 1943, in Boston, Massachusetts, Martha’s early years were shaped by her father’s service in the Army, leading the family to move often. The two places she always thought of as home were the Boston suburbs and Houston. Martha later moved to Houston to be close to her children and grandchildren, where she quickly formed meaningful connections within her new community while maintaining lifelong friendships across the United States.
Martha attended high school in New York and began her college studies at Boston University. Before completing her degree, she moved to Colorado to be near her parents and later earned her Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts and Business from Lesley University.
On August 16, 1984, Martha married the love of her life, Don D’Entremont. Together, they shared 34 wonderful years of marriage and truly became the center of each other’s world.
Martha built a fulfilling career in Human Resources, where she took great pride in supporting and assisting her colleagues.
Beyond her professional life, Martha had many passions. She was a Life Member of Hadassah and remained active in several chapters across the United States. She also volunteered for HAWC, serving compassionately on their hotline as well as leading support groups. Martha was an avid reader, a devoted book club member, and a lover of travel, art museums, and dance performances. Most of all, she cherished time spent with her family—both near and far.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Betty Klashman, and her beloved husband, Don D’Entremont. She is survived by her children Robert (Cristina), Michele (Wayne), and Mark (Sue); and grandchildren Michael Croft, Jason Croft, Nastasia Sacks, Matthew Sacks, Alexandre Sacks, and Jake Sacks.
May her memory forever be a blessing.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hadassah.
