

Martin Eugene Maack, age 60, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 in Houston, TX. He is predeceased by his wife: Phyllis Maack, his parents: Mary Maack and husband John A Maack, and sister: Mary Ann Herring and husband Mike. He is survived by his son: John A Maack II and wife Kaci, his siblings: Jo Ann Maack, John C Maack, Monica Martin and Rick, and James Maack in addition to numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Martin was born in Houston on February 15th, 1962. Martin enjoyed a career as an industrial mechanic, servicing natural gas engines for Waukesha-Pearce and repairing vehicles in various shops. Martin married his wife of 35 years, Phyllis (Leuck) Maack, on June 21st, 1986 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. He was a passionate chef who loved cooking large feasts to share with family, friends and neighbors. He used his green thumb to grow the most delicious vegetables that he would incorporate into his meals. Martin also enjoyed fishing and hunting.
A combined visitation with his wife, Phyllis, will be held at Earthman’s Funeral home in Bellaire on Thursday, April 7th, from 6-8 PM, with a Rosary at 7 PM.
A combined funeral Mass will be held at St. Vincent de Paul chapel on Friday, April 8th, at 10 AM followed by Graveside service at Forest Park Lawndale at 12 noon.
A celebration of life with be held at the St. Arnold Brewing Company on Friday, April 8th, at 1:30 PM. Please come join us for lunch and beverages and share your stories of their life.
